Transition Year students are taking part in the Early Drive Experience at Mondello Park today. The programme includes a comprehensive road safety session, followed by 20 minutes of on-track driving for each student in a dual-controlled Opel Corsa, accompanied by a qualified instructor. Students are developing essential driving skills such as correct speed control and braking techniques, parallel parking, reversing, and spatial awareness. In addition, TYs are practising questions for the Driver Theory Test and enjoying a guided tour of the Martin Birrane Collection in the Museum of Motorsport, gaining valuable insight into the history of Irish motorsport.
