EiSHT Workshop!

Yesterday, one of our TY groups completed their workshop in Emotional and Mental Self Defence with Caroline from EiSHT.  During the day, the students were introduced to many topics to challenge their self awareness and improve their resilience and introduce the idea of continuous personal development.  The programme uses the Lego Serious Play Method, many tools and the students receive a 64 page workbook to keep with tools and resources to help them overcome personal challenges ahead. EiSHT is a Kildare based enterprise which facilitates workshops nationally which works with young people from age 11 through to teachers, parents and corporate clients.  EiSHT was created in 2020 to help young people acknowledge that they are heard, they are not alone and that they have more resilience and capability to ensure their future success. It assists to understand how and when to ask for help, to understand mental wellbeing and how they can help themselves and each other to succeed. This is completed through a programme of skills, reflection, challenging habits and building self-esteem for young people aged 11 +. They focus on increasing gratitude, understanding behaviour, reducing conflict and increasing optimism & hope whilst supporting our clients to learn how to set goals, take control of their own learning and responsibility for their own happiness. This supports our young clients to progress into being workplace ready and armed with tools to support stress and their own mental wellbeing.  Self Awareness is our Super Power!
