We were blessed with beautiful sunshine again this morning for our last TY Golf session in Baltinglass Golf Club where PGA Golf Pro Tom O’ Neill gave students an excellent group lesson in all aspects of the game focusing on grip, swing and putting. A huge thank you to Tom for sharing his expertise with our students throughout this module. Very well done to our TY student Stephen Patterson who showed great leadership skills by coordinating the putting sessions with Tom each week. Thanks also to past pupil Joe Byrne for his participation earlier in the module. We were honoured to have Lady Captain Claire O’ Neill and Lady Vice Captain Kate Price in attendance this morning.
A special thanks to Madge Tyrrell for her time and help in facilitating the TY Golf module and to the many club members who over the weeks attended the sessions and provided refreshments for students in the clubhouse including Bernie Hennessy, Catherine Lord, Eileen Murphy, Ellen Borresson, Lil Flynn, Lill Kelly and Carol Walsh. We look forward to seeing many current TY students on the fairways in Baltinglass in the coming months and years ahead.
