Our 5th and 6th Year Art students recently visited Brú na Bóinne, exploring the incredible prehistoric sites of Newgrange and Knowth. The tour offered a fascinating insight into Ireland’s ancient heritage, with its intricate stone carvings, passage tombs, and alignment with the winter solstice sunrise.
Students had the opportunity to experience first-hand the artistry, symbolism, and craftsmanship of Neolithic design — inspiration that continues to influence contemporary art and architecture today. It was an unforgettable day connecting creativity, history, and culture in one of Ireland’s most important archaeological landscapes.
