Scoil Chonglais would like to wish our Transition Year students the very best as they begin their journey with the GAA Future Leaders Programme.
The Future Leaders Programme is a self-directed, module-based programme developed by the GAA for Transition Year students. It gives young people the chance to develop valuable skills in organisation, leadership, communication, teamwork and wellbeing, all through the context of Gaelic games and the wider school community.
Students will get hands-on experience in areas such as coaching, refereeing, event management, journalism, health & wellbeing, administration, and performance analysis. The programme not only promotes active participation in sport but also empowers students to take on leadership roles both on and off the pitch. This will be a great foundation for students if they decide to study Leaving Certificate PE.
We are proud of our students for embracing this exciting opportunity and look forward to seeing them grow as leaders of the future.
